Call for accountability and transparency in leadership.
Prime minister Modi addressed India from Red Fort for the 11th time on 15 August 2024. It was a great lip service from prime minister Modi. Unfortunately, our country is being led by a man who is dishonest, irresponsible and corrupt.
Prime Minister Modi’s rhetoric often contrasts with his actions, raising concerns about consistency in governance. Our prime minister seems to be very comfortable in addressing people from various sections of society by repeatedly calling them as Dalits (people from lower caste), Peedith(oppressed), Vanchit (betrayed), Sooshith (exploited), etc. Why are they still the same even after ten glories years of Modi rule?
It is true that opposition won several seats by replacing UPA with INDIA and false promises. Nevertheless, prime minister Modi’s popularity is diminishing. The ruling BJP is doing exactly what Congress did in the past. On the other hand, Congress headed by Rahul Gandhi is reaching out to people to win their confidence even after the election.
All those who support BJP due to Hindu sentiments or patriotism are left high and dry. If this trend continues, Rahul Gandhi will become the next prime minister of India. It won’t amuse anyone, even if Congress topples the union government.
Modi 3.0 couldn’t get majority on its own, despite ambitious pledges and extensive media outreach. BJP appears to have courted its allies by offering a predetermined price. The budgetary allocation of funds for Seema Andhra and Bihar is only the official part of it.
Prime minister Modi asked people to invest big in stock market during the campaign for the last phase of 2024 general election. Common people lost millions of their hard earned money. May be where one should invest was conveyed secretly, and it was informed only to the allies and friends.
Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya’s assets increased 30 times in the last five years. In 2019, Tejasvi owned assets worth ₹13.46 lakh; in 2024, his assets grew to a whopping ₹4.10 Crore. Chandrababu Naidu’s family wealth surged by Rs 858 crore in five days soon after the election. Are we supposed to think that it is not due to manipulation?
PM Modi’s Independence Day speech from the Red Fort was a litany of falsehoods and exaggerations. His statements were riddled with inaccuracies, but to avoid a lengthy refutation, I’ll highlight a few key examples. Prime minister Modi spoke about hospitals, medical universities and several other reforms in the health care sector. He also expressed his anger over crime against women.
The below video from Firstpost explains the hypocrisy. Firstpost defends Modi and India on several global and domestic issues. See what they have got to say about the broken healthcare system in India.
Articles published in flamesofdissent.com has influenced various union government policies. This means, there is someone who conveys it to the people in the helm of affairs. But my repeated attempts to improve public healthcare and education failed.
In the last article, I have explained that union government can increase the budgetary allocation for public health care and education by banning the country liquor which is two third of liquor sold in India. The Modi administration appears reluctant to terminate the kickback from the sale of country liquor.
The last article in flamesofdissent.com also stated that the government has not undertaken any scientific studies to investigate the causes for the rise in rape cases. The government continues to be irresponsible and is not concerned. PM Modi’s insensitivity and lip service will not resolve this issue.
Prime Minister Modi consistently emphasizes the significance of the Ayushman Bharat initiative during his public addresses. The beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat is decided based on a survey done in 2011. In fourteen years many rich can become poor and vice versa. There are significant flaws in the design and implementation of this scheme.
Do you thing we could be a developed country by 2047 without bridging the gap between the rich and the poor? Why is prime minister Modi not talking about the minimum wage in countries who are world’s third, fourth and sixth largest economy. Will Modi’s guarantee include an increase in minimum wage to make it same as what it is in the present third largest economy?
Modi will talk about India becoming third largest economy. News channels will invite intellectuals from around the country to debate it. The viewers from middle class will discuss it. Some of them will proudly share them on social media as well.
If the minimum wage continues to be the same as what it is now, or if it is going to be a marginal increase in the third largest economy (India), then the entire nation is talking about increasing the wealth of Ambani, Adani and a handful of filthy rich in India.
Modi spoke about his significant initiative to extend paid maternity leave for working women. The 26-week maternity leave for working mothers, instead of the earlier 12 weeks, for their pregnancy and delivery is nothing but a pleasant fairy tale for most of the working women in private sector. It helps Modi to boast about his great governance and not the working women.
Feminists who write the editorial for pink papers will express their dissent and prime minister shouldn’t condemn them on Independence Day. PM Modi appears to have reservations about intellectuals and experts engaging in public discourse on national issues. He explicitly voiced these concerns while addressing the nation on Independence Day.
The broken public health care, minimum wage in world’s fifth largest economy, women’s safety, maternity leaves and schemes like Ayushman Bharat explains the much bragged Neeti and Neeyath of Modi.
Corruption or Lack of Anti-corruption
Prime Minister Modi exhibits characteristics of dishonesty and irresponsibility, paralleling the corruption attributed to Man Mohan Singh during the UPA II. Ashok Chavan a former Maharastra chief minister who was accused in the Adarsh Housing Society Scam quit Congress and joined BJP. Janardhan Reddy’s return to the BJP shortly before the 2024 general election exemplifies the systemic corruption entrenched in the party.
Why 10 years of Modi government failed to punish Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and others involved in the National Herald case. Why Robert Vadra is being spared by Modi government in DLF land grab case? What we should understand is that prime minister Modi is not corrupt. But he will encourage and allow corruption of any scale.
The Modi government targets political leaders such as Manish Sisodia and Arvind Kejriwal, driven by an apprehension of alternative challengers beyond the Congress party. BJP recognizes that their ascent to power in 2014 stemmed from widespread dissatisfaction with Congress, suggesting a lengthy process for the latter’s electoral revival.
The BJP remains uneasy about the Aam Aadmi Party’s success in Punjab, coupled with its sustained influence in Delhi. This dynamic seemingly reflects a collusion between Congress and the BJP where BJP agrees to shield tainted leaders from Congress in exchange for their support.
The authenticity of the above video is not verified. But if it is real, then we cannot expect police men to be honest, loyal and patriots. The traffic police will have to deal with scorching heat, dust, and smoke from vehicles throughout the day to ensure that road users are safe. A high court lawyer shouldn’t threaten them when caught without helmet and number plate. The deep rooted corruption in India cannot be addressed by corrupt leaders. This is not how things are in developed countries like USA.
