2024 General Election and the Role of Political Leaders

Analyzing the Unfolding Drama in India.

The 2024 General Election results has been a much debated and scrutinized subject in Media. It has raised questions and concerns among the populace regarding the decision-making processes and the sensibility of the approaches taken. This election cycle has certainly challenged the conventional wisdom and provoked a reevaluation of the principles that underpin the democratic exercises in the country.

The grand assurances given by both PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi can be seen as mere deception. If Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wants to become a big leader, then I will teach him how to be a great leader through flamesofdissent.com. Rahul Gandhi should openly communicate with the people of India on how his promises can be effectively executed. I will work towards ensuring the Modi government implements these measures, provided they are financially feasible.

Engaging in deceitful tactics, such as manipulating innocent people for the sake of garnering votes and resorting to acts like mudslinging, disrupting parliament, and organizing strikes, will not contribute to the progress of our country. Instead, it is important for the opposition leader to focus on open and transparent communication with the public, and work towards constructive measures that can truly benefit our country.

The INDI alliance’s senior Congress leaders conveyed their joy at obtaining sufficient seats to spearhead the alliance and present a challenge to the BJP’s supremacy. To begin with, why did Modi government allow UPA to use the name of our country for political gains. It is against the law of the land. One cannot mislead voters. Elections in India should be Free and Fair. Politicians should refrain from creating controversies, confusion, and chaos during elections. Political leaders also shouldn’t speculate about the stock market for electoral gains.

I am not part of INDI alliance, but India belongs to me as well. The notion that this country belongs only to people who were part of UPA is wrong, and arrogant. I was among the first few who requested union government to ban the use of name “INDIA” for political gains. The Modi government ignored it due to over-confidence.

Sam Pitroda who stepped down as chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress has been no stranger to controversies. Recently, he made a racist remark while discussing India’s diversity. During an interview with The Statesman, he stated that people in the South “look like Africans” and those in the East “look like Chinese” or “Arab.”

This isn’t the first time Sam Pitroda has stirred controversy. In June 2023, he asserted that temples wouldn’t address India’s pressing issues such as unemployment, inflation, education, and health. He caused a stir by discussing the concept of inheritance tax in America. He suggested that leaving part of one’s wealth for the public upon death sounded fair.

Such controversies are only meant to polarize voters. Rahul Gandhi spoke about wealth redistribution and PM Modi quipped saying; ‘Congress loots while we are alive and even after our death”. The way PM Modi said it in Hindi reminded me about an old caption used by Life Insurance Corporations: Jindagi Ke Sath be Aur Jindagi Ki Baad be”. flamesofdissent.com also mentioned bridging the widening gap between the rich and poor through better public healthcare and education.

In America, someone with psychological disorders will be given equal employment opportunity and most of the organizations will also give financial aid for the treatment. But in India, they try to avoid someone with such problems. In the USA, most children will leave home at the age of 18 and will continue their education while working part time in places like coffee shops.

Most parents in America will use their savings to indulge in extended vacations, which could involve spending several months on cruises, embarking on international tours, or even purchasing a vacation home or boat for their leisurely enjoyment. Americans live on credit from youth. Indians save from childhood and live amassing wealth for their children.

It is a cultural difference than a lack of rules. Both Sam Pitroda and Rahul Gandhi know this cultural difference than PM Modi. Why are they misleading the public and ridiculing our common sense?

I expect Rahul Gandhi to lead the country. Let Ragul Gandhi present his plan in parliament, request a day in parliament to discuss the plan to do whatever Congress promised to the people. We will make Modi government do exactly what Rahul Gandhi promised, if it is practical. Yes, we will make Modi government allow Rahul Gandhi to do back-seat driving.

Mr. Rahul Gandhi should not cross all the limits anymore. We are not Modi bhaktas and we are not fools to believe false promises made by Rahul Gandhi.

If not, Let Rahul Gandhi present a plan for wealth redistribution in the parliament and let’s see how many MPs from India block will back this scheme. Will MK Stalin and Kanimozhi give all their wealth to government? If Rahul Gandhi can ensure that all the MPs from India block will support it, then we can make NDA make it a law. People expect Rahul Gandhi to present a feasible plan to create jobs and to give one lack per family every year for the poor.

Modi Government should understand how bad they were when they enjoyed absolute majority for the last ten years. What made more people reject them after 10 years? Did the influence of Rahul Gandhi and Congress leaders lead people to believe that they would receive one lakh rupees per household per year, ultimately resulting in them obtaining guaranteed cards from the Congress office by completing a form?

It is true that more people in India hate BJP than they did in 2014. But INDI alliance is not entitled to say that people of India (INDI alliance) do not like Modi ruling this country. They can’t be rude to the public who elected Modi. Congress or the INDI alliance is not entitled to disrespect people’s mandate. Such comments are welcome when Congress gets the majority and forms the government.

People expect prime minister Narendra Modi to embody the ideals of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Throughout his life, he has consistently demonstrated a selfless attitude and was against favoritism. Despite holding high office, he remains unburdened by any property or wealth. The public holds high expectations for him to adhere to his principles and lead by example.

Modi government should increase the budgetary allocation of funds to public education and healthcare by the same proportion on which the tax collection increases if we sell alcohol only with tax. The government should ban all sorts of Desi Liquor. The sale of liquor in India should be allowed only with government tax and FSSAI certification. Approximately two-thirds of the alcohol sold in India lacks certification from FSSAI and is sold without taxes being levied. If the tax collection increases by 2-4 percent, then the government can spend the increased tax amount for public education and healthcare.

In fact, there are more ways to increase the annual budgetary allocation for public education and healthcare. And nothing should come in the way of Modi government if it helps to make India a developed country by 2047. An India that belongs to everyone and not the India of only those from UPA.

Modi government should stop harassing the people in states which are not ruled by BJP. The union government of India has a lot of responsibilities even in states where they don’t rule. The union government should come up with a comprehensive plan to help economically stressed states.

The Modi government should present a comprehensive initiative to states such as Kerala to establish green energy infrastructure, including vehicle charging stations, at every 50-kilometer interval on government-owned land. Additionally, this program should entail transforming it into a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU)Imagine how many cars, buses and Trucks would need this in the next five years and it will take few years to build them. This recharging station need not be on the Highway. Highway users can use maps to find the nearest charging station, even if it is few kilometers away from Highway.

The union government can help economically stressed states like Kerala with credit above the barrowing limits. The union government should expand borrowing limits to combat climate change and actively assist states such as Kerala in establishing eco-friendly energy stations like wind power generators. The union government should come up with a plan to ensure any amount due to states are mandatorily paid on time.

Why do coastal states not have at least one wind mill power project? It can be funded by the government and the private on build operate transfer (BOT) basis. The project in the video will create a lot of jobs during construction. Should we anticipate the arrival of Chinese assistance in our coastal region to aid us in clean energy initiatives?

It can be constructed in the next five years. Appropriate budgetary allocation, credit from union government to states to build one such project in every coastal state in India is an achievable target.

PM Modi and BJP should understand that they failed to get majority on their own, despite opposition being weak, their accounts were attached, selectively incarcerating AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, and a record number of TV channels interviewing Modi, days before election. BJP won 282 seats comfortably without these extravaganzas in 2014. This means, there are more people who hate BJP than in 2014 and 2019.

Even the Ram Mandir construction didn’t help BJP to get majority on their own. BJP built the temple, but Sri Rama cannot live in Modi’s India. Why Modi government spared all the corrupt leaders who joined BJP from Congress. Why Rahul Gandhi is spared in National Herald case. Is it an understanding between Congress and BJP that Modi can continue as Prime minister if Gandhi’s are not challenged?

Why was BSNL suppressed for the last ten years? Why is the government allowing Jio to bully the telecom sector? PM Modi was introduced to technology in his childhood through a BSNL landline phone and radio. BSNL launched 4G when private players rolled out 5G. Isn’t this a classic example of favoritism? Such favoritism should go. PM Modi allowed such favoritism when they had absolute majority. What better can we expect from a coalition government?

Union Government of India is richer than Reliance Industries. Increasing BSNL mobile service users will help our country in several ways. BSNL plans are the best and the price is comparatively low. The only problem is that the technology is old where users would get 2G, 3G or 4G based on where they are. A technology upgrade, an effort to increase sales will create a lot of employment, and revenue for the government. We can save an oldest public sector unit in India.

There is a lot that PM Modi can do to make India a developed country. Union government schemes should align with the plan if the governments want to achieve clean energy, climate goals, GDP growth, employment creation, good public health care and education.

We have acute shortage of water in every major city in India. All these cities will flood if there is good rain. The union government should make it a priority to address these two issues in the next five years.

Rainwater harvesting should be enforced on all existing and new buildings. Many big builders occupied waterbodies to construct apartments and huge commercial buildings. Most of them have huge Car parking lot, spacious garden, children’s play area, and roads. They can build huge concrete water tanks underneath the roads, park and Car parking. They can collect, filter and use rainwater throughout the rainy season, and at least a month after rainy season. We can recharge wells. Even the ground water table can be recharged using tubewells.

For example, in Bengaluru the government just needs to bring laws making it mandatory to do rainwater harvesting. The government can also take over places like Racecourse, Golf course, Kabban Park and Lal Bagh to build massive concreate tanks underneath them in the city and a pipeline to collect excessive rainwater collected from every household in the city.

Massive Concreate underground water tanks can be built on Army land in various places inside Bengaluru and in the outskirts of the city. Individual house owners can be given subsidy on Pipes and filters, while the poor should be helped by the government to implement rainwater harvesting.

All the existing lakes in the cities should be rejuvenated. This will end the water crisis and the floods in Bengaluru. The same can be implemented in all major cities and gradually across India. It is worth taking a loan from the IMF or World Bank to fund this plan. It can be built with government and private participation (BOT).

People in urban cities will spend a lot every year on water (Water bill and the Tractor charge). This massive project will boost our economy. Manufacturing industries who produce steel, cement, pipes, filters, those who sell and transport them will benefit. It will create a lot of jobs for both skilled and unskilled work force in India. This will increase the percapita income.

A lot of farmers in the village take loans to dig tube wells which are 500 to 1000 feet (about 304.8 m) deep. The tube wells will fail in a few years and farmers will take loan after loan waiver to dig another tube well.

Recharging Tube wells is less expensive than what you saw in the video. It can be done in a crude way by digging a canal or by making slope towards the tube well. You should dig a circle of five feet radius around the tube well. Tube well’s casing pipe should be drilled to make small holes in top 6 feet. A steel mesh needs to be wrapped around the casing pipes and the circle should be filled with sand in 2 feet radius, Metal, jelly and small stones in 3 feet radius. The union government can fund this for farmers and can implement it throughout India.

BJP and union government should stop mocking the protesting farmers. The government should try to solve their problems. Farmers shouldn’t be treated like a burden. CISF personnel Kulwinder Kaur’s slap was not for Kangana Ranaut alone. It was for the entire ruling class. Modi government should exhibit maturity by not punishing her and she shouldn’t be targeted. Instead, the union government should think about what they did in the last 5 years.

I would like to congratulate PM Modi and NDA for being able to form government for the historic third term.
